European Roulette and betting options

What is European Roulette?

European Roulette uses a wheel with 37 pockets numbered from 0 to 36.

You can wager on individual numbers in the inside section or bet on groups of numbers using the outside section options.

What betting options do I have in the inside section?

Inside section bets allow you to wager on individual numbers or small groups of numbers.

To place an inside bet, select one of the following options:

  • Straight-up (single number)
  • Split (two adjacent numbers)
  • Street (three consecutive numbers)
  • Corner (four numbers in a square)
  • Line (six consecutive numbers)

Inside bets offer higher payouts because they cover fewer numbers and have lower win probability.

Our advanced software makes it easier for you to pick your favorite inside bets.

What betting options do I have in the outside section?

Outside section bets cover larger groups of numbers and include the following options:

  • Red or black
  • Odd or even
  • High or low (1-18 or 19-36)
  • Dozen bets (three different 12-number bets)
  • Column bets (three different 12-number bets)

You can cover up to 18 numbers on the roulette table with any of these betting combinations.

What is the difference between inside and outside bets?

Inside bets cover individual numbers or small groups of numbers, giving you a lower chance of winning but higher payouts.

Outside bets cover larger groups of numbers, giving you a higher chance to win but lower payouts.

What are the maximum inside and outside bets?

Maximum outside bet

The outside maximum bet shows the largest amount you can place on each outside bet position.

You can place the maximum bet on each (or all) outside bet positions. There is no cumulative maximum. You can see the maximum outside bet amount when you play at each Roulette table.

Maximum inside bet

A table's inside maximum bet is the largest amount you can bet on each individual straight-up number.

All other inside bet types (split, line, street, corner) have their own maximum bet amount, relative to the table's straight-up maximum.
